NM State Athletics has partnered with Wanda Bowman and Ashley Furniture to support the Hope to Dream program, which provides beds for children in need. The initiative aims to donate 100 beds to children in Las Cruces this holiday season. For every $250 donated to the Aggie Athletic Club, one bed will be gifted. Since 2010, Hope to Dream has donated over 140,000 beds nationwide to offer children a good night’s sleep. Children ages 3-12 attending Las Cruces Public Schools will receive a complete bed set, including a mattress, bedspread, sheets, pillows, and a swag bag.
The official unveiling of this initiative will take place during the football season finale against UTEP on Saturday, Nov. 30, with an on-court recognition during the men’s basketball game against Abilene Christian on Wednesday, Dec. 4. NM State Athletics is inviting fans to join in spreading holiday cheer and making a lasting impact in the community by donating to the cause. Contributions will be accepted until all 100 beds are fully funded.
Wanda Bowman, Owner and CEO of Ashley Furniture of Las Cruces, expressed pride in being able to provide beds for children in the community and emphasized the positive impact these beds have on children and their families. Ashley Furniture has been involved in this meaningful work for over 20 years and looks forward to continuing to support Hope to Dream.
