Kentucky Football Adds Offensive Lineman Wallace Unamba from New Mexico
Former New Mexico offensive tackle Wallace Unamba has announced that he will transfer to the University of Kentucky. The 6-foot-5, 335-pound lineman from Garland, Texas, began his college career in the JUCO ranks and has one year of eligibility remaining. Unamba started 10 games at right tackle in 2024, earning a PFF grade of 63.1 while allowing zero sacks and helping New Mexico’s rushing offense rank fourth nationally.
Unamba received interest from Virginia, Cal, and Stanford before choosing Kentucky, attracted by the opportunity to play in the SEC and on national television. He is the latest addition to Kentucky’s offensive line, joining OG Josh Braun and OT Alex Wollschlaeger from the transfer portal. The Wildcats are also hosting WKU center Evan Wibberley for an official visit, with head coach Eric Wolford actively seeking to bolster the offensive line.
