The Eastern New Mexico Water Utility Authority (ENMWUA) has secured a $20 million loan grant agreement for the Raw Water 1A transmission pipeline project in Clovis, NM. The funding, consisting of an $18 million grant and a $2 million loan, will complete the budget for the 14.4-mile pipeline project, which is part of the ongoing Eastern New Mexico Rural Water System. Other phases of the system currently under construction include Finished Water 1 and Raw Water 3 pipelines. The ENMWUA plans to issue requests for proposals for the Raw Water 1A pipeline in early 2025, with the goal of completing all remaining phases of the water system by 2031. The project aims to provide potable water to four city member agencies and Cannon Air Force Base from the Ute Reservoir. The funding agreement marks a significant milestone for the ENMWUA as they continue to work towards providing reliable water access to the region.
