True freshman Dijana Mazumdar from Sydney, Australia, has been named the Western Athletic Conference Women’s Swimmer of the Week after an impressive performance at home. Mazumdar helped the Aggies secure dual wins over WAC foes UT Rio Grande Valley and Northern Arizona, as well as a relay meet victory over UTRGV. She set a new pool record in the 200 free and posted the fastest time in the WAC this season. Mazumdar also earned first-place finishes in the 100 free and 50 free events, ranking among the top three swimmers in the WAC for both events. Her success contributed to the Aggies’ overall victory against their opponents. Mazumdar will next compete at the Houston Invite on Nov. 20.
