Intoxicated Driver Causes 17-Vehicle Crash in Texas, Five Dead


A man in Austin, Texas, was charged with intoxication manslaughter after a late-night wreck on Interstate 35 involving over a dozen vehicles that left five people dead and several injured. The victims included three adults, a child, and an infant, with 11 others taken to hospitals. Solomun Weldekeal Araya, 37, was charged with five counts of intoxication manslaughter and two counts of intoxication assault in connection with the crash.
