However, Jax State rallied in the second inning, scoring five runs to take the lead. The Aggies fought back with runs in the fifth and sixth innings but fell short in the end.
Devin Elam returned to the lineup with two hits, while Tamara Carranza recorded her first collegiate double. Faith Aragon extended her hitting streak to eight games, and Kristiana Watson hit her 16th extra-base hit of the season. Despite the loss, NM State recorded 14 hits matching a season-high and continued to show power at the plate with multiple home runs.
