Most of New Mexico to be under red flag warning on Monday

The Eyewitness News 4 Team reported that a red flag warning is in effect for most of New Mexico on Monday due to high winds and dry conditions. The warning is set to be in effect from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m., with the exception of the Four Corners area where precipitation, including snow, is likely. The snow is expected to move into areas like Raton and Clayton, potentially leading to blizzard-like conditions on Tuesday morning. Additionally, a high wind warning has been issued from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m., with wind gusts of 60-70 mph expected in certain areas. A wind advisory is also in place for locations on the western edge of the warning, where gusts up to 55 mph are anticipated. This weather situation could have significant impacts on travel and outdoor activities in the region. Stay tuned for updates and follow Weather Forecasts and Brandon Richards for more information.
