New Mexico State Dominates WKU in Final Home Game

The New Mexico State Aggies ended their regular season on a high note with a dominant 65-47 victory over Western Kentucky. The team celebrated Senior Day with a strong performance, led by Peter Filipovity’s double-double of 16 points and 11 rebounds. The Aggies controlled the game from the beginning, never trailing and showcasing a balanced offensive attack and relentless defense.

NM State’s strong rebounding and efficient play in transition helped them secure the win, outrebounding Western Kentucky 48-25 and outscoring them 24-6 in the paint. The victory marked the Aggies’ second-largest rebounding margin of the season, while also holding the Hilltoppers to their second-lowest point total of the year.

With key contributions from multiple players, including Robert Carpenter and Zawdie Jackson, NM State finishes the regular season with a 16-13 record and a 9-7 conference record. The Aggies now look forward to their next game against LA Tech as they aim to carry this momentum into post-season play.
