New Mexico State Ready to Compete in CUSA Indoor Track & Field Championship

The NM State indoor track & field team is gearing up for the 2025 Conference USA Championship hosted by Liberty University in Lynchburg, VA. The competition will take place on Feb. 28 – Mar. 1 and NM State will be competing in 16 events against other Conference USA programs. Several Aggie athletes hold top-10 marks in program history and are poised to perform well at the championship.

One standout athlete to watch is sophomore Marlee Cavitt, who transferred to NM State from the University of Portland and also plays soccer for the Aggies. Cavitt has been a key player on the soccer team and is now competing in short sprint events for the track & field team.

In last year’s CUSA Championship, the Aggies had strong performances with Rebecca Green winning the shot put event and Cameron Hodges earning a third-place finish in the triple jump. NM State finished in fifth place overall.

Fans can follow along with the action on ESPN+ and live stats will be available. For more coverage, visit NMStateSports.com or follow NM State Track & Field on social media for updates. The Aggies are looking to make a strong showing at the championship and bring home some top finishes in their events.
