Missing aircraft with 10 aboard located in Alaska after search

A crashed airplane was found in Alaska with three deceased individuals, during the search for a missing flight that had 10 people on board. The Bering Air Cessna Caravan took off from Unalakleet and was headed to Nome when it experienced a rapid loss in elevation and speed. The crash site was located about 34 miles southeast of Nome. The Coast Guard confirmed the deaths of the three individuals found inside the wreckage. Alaska Governor Mike Dunleavy expressed condolences and stated that he and his wife are heartbroken by the incident. Nome and Unalakleet are not connected by the state’s highway system, so air and water transportation are the primary means of travel between the two locations. The Coast Guard is investigating the cause of the crash, and more updates are expected as the story develops. This tragic event has left many in the region mournful, and thoughts are with the families and loved ones of those affected.
