Mayberry achieves world-leading time in 200m race in New Mexico


TCU freshman Indya Mayberry made waves at the New Mexico Collegiate Classic with a world-leading 200m time of 22.41. Mayberry, who already holds the nation’s top 60m time, set a new TCU school record and the seventh fastest collegiate time in history. Senior Kashie Crockett also impressed with a career-best indoor 200m time of 20.61, ranking fifth in school history and eighth in the NCAA this season. Elise Dobson set a new school record in the Pentathlon with a total of 3,767 points. Benjamin Kirbo and Laila Smith also had strong showings in the pole vault and long jump events, respectively.

Sprinters Justin Frater and Alleah Krote advanced to the semifinals in their respective events. The Horned Frogs will continue competing at the New Mexico Collegiate Classic and the Charlie Thomas Invitational on Saturday, Feb. 8.
