The No. 13-ranked West Texas A&M softball team is gearing up for their 2025 season debut at the South Central Regional Challenge in New Mexico. Led by head coach Michael Mook, the Lady Buffs are looking to build upon their successful 2024 season, where they reached the regional tournament but were ultimately upset in the finale. The team returns key players like All-Americans Emilee Boyer and Lauren Granger, along with pitcher Heidi Vortherms.
At the tournament, WT will face off against in-region opponents like Adams State, New Mexico Highlands, and UCCS, as well as West-Region member Simon Fraser. Live stats will be available for all games, but unfortunately, a live stream will not be offered. The Lady Buffs are coming off a strong season and are looking to make an impact in the South Central Region once again.
