Los Lunas teenager who fought in the Korean War, Private First Class Arthur Clifton, will finally be laid to rest after being reported missing in action in 1950. Clifton, who fought in the “Frozen Chosin,” was advancing into North Korea when his squad was caught off guard by Chinese troops. He was only 17 years old at the time he went missing. His burial is set for 1:30 p.m. on Friday, Jan. 31 at Sam Houston National Cemetery in San Antonio, Texas. Clifton’s story is a reminder of the sacrifices made by young men during the Korean War, and his long-awaited burial will provide closure for his family and honor his memory. The community of Los Lunas will come together to pay their respects to this brave soldier who fought for his country at such a young age.
