A benefit concert called “FireAid” featuring musicians such as Billie Eilish, Red Hot Chili Peppers, and Joni Mitchell will take place on January 30th at the Intuit Dome and Kia Forum in Inglewood, Los Angeles, to raise funds for wildfire recovery and relief efforts. The concert will also include performances by artists with California ties such as Dave Matthews, Gwen Stefani, and Lady Gaga.
Tickets for the event will go on sale through Ticketmaster with proceeds going towards short-term and long-term relief efforts for the devastating Palisades and Eaton fires that have killed at least 27 people and displaced thousands. Donations have already been pouring in from organizations like the Los Angeles Clippers and celebrities like Lady Gaga.
The concert will be broadcast widely across various platforms such as Apple Music, Netflix, and Spotify to reach a larger audience and raise more funds. The contributions and donations to FireAid will be handled by a 501(c)(3) nonprofit under the advisement of the Annenberg Foundation to ensure they are distributed effectively for both immediate relief efforts and future fire prevention initiatives.
Overall, FireAid aims to bring together music fans, celebrities, and organizations to support communities affected by the wildfires in California and help them recover and rebuild.
