Journalists and lawmakers in New Mexico are gearing up for the 2025 legislative session in Santa Fe, which is set to begin next week. In a recent interview on New Mexico in Focus, Politics Correspondent Gwyneth Doland spoke to three journalists about the key issues that lawmakers will be focusing on this year. Among the topics discussed were how the state plans to spend a record $11 billion in revenue, public safety, behavioral health reforms, and potential changes to federal education policy.
