NM State Women’s Soccer Heads West to Take on Gonzaga in Final Non-Conference Match
The NM State women’s soccer team is gearing up to take on Gonzaga in their final non-conference game of the 2024 season on September 12 at 8 p.m. MT in Spokane, Wash. The Aggies have a chance to finish their non-conference play with a 5-3-1 record.
The team has been on a hot streak, with three consecutive Conference USA Offensive Player of the Week awards going to Meredith Scott, Brook Schultz, and Loma McNeese. Additionally, Ariana Leamons, McNeese, and Xitlaly Hernandez were named to the Conference USA.
Loma McNeese, the 2023 Conference USA Player of the Year, has been climbing the record books for the Aggies with 22 career goals, tying her for second in program history. Valerie Guha also holds several goalkeeper records for the team.
A familiar face on Gonzaga’s staff is Miguel Guante, former Associate Head Coach for NM State. The Aggies and Bulldogs have played one game before, with Gonzaga winning 4-0. Gonzaga currently has a 3-2-1 record, with Alexis Parker and Erin Ewers leading the team in goals.
