NM State Women’s Soccer Team Honored with All-Conference Awards
The NM State women’s soccer team has been recognized with several honors following a successful conference season in Conference USA. Loma McNeese was named to the Second Team All-CUSA after an impressive performance with five goals and one assist in conference play. Brooke Schultz, Valerie Guha, Jena Johannes, and freshman Andrea Alvarenga were selected for Third Team All-CUSA.
McNeese expressed gratitude for the award, giving credit to her team for their hard work and talent. Schultz led the team in assists and scored three goals, including two game-winners. Guha stood out in goal with a GAA of 1.39 and three shutouts. Johannes played a crucial role on the backline, while Alvarenga made an impact in her first season.
Freshman Ariana Ellison was also recognized for her contributions, playing a significant role in the team’s success. The Aggies will begin the 2024 Women’s Soccer Championship against Jacksonville State on Nov. 6.
