Naomi Slee of NM State Named WAC Swimmer of the Week for Solid Performance Against Grand Canyon

ARLINGTON, Texas – The Western Athletic Conference honored Naomi Slee of NM State as Swimmer of the Week, following her outstanding performance against Grand Canyon on Jan 11. Slee, a junior from Edmonton, Alberta, Canada, won three races, including the 200 free, 200 back, and contributed to the 400 free relay victory with an impressive split time of 51.34 seconds in the second leg.

Slee’s perfect meet helped lead the Aggies to a 173-127 victory over Grand Canyon, extending their winning streak to four meets. In her previous seasons, Slee has already garnered accolades such as WAC Freshman of the Year and multiple conference bronze medals.
