New Mexico United adds Tomas Pondeca to the roster for the upcoming 2025 USL Championship season. The talented midfielder joins on a season-long loan from MLS club FC Dallas, where he has spent the last two seasons, making 48 appearances and scoring nine goals. Pondeca also boasts success in the futsal world, representing the United States Men’s National Futsal team at the World Cup and winning the Young Player Award at the 2021 CONCACAF Futsal Championship.
Originally making the cut at Dallas through an open tryout in 2023, Pondeca has proven himself on the field with his skill and dedication. With nearly 3,000 minutes played and five assists to his name, he brings a wealth of experience and talent to the New Mexico United lineup. Fans can expect to see Pondeca shine on the field as he continues to make a name for himself in the USL Championship.
