John Cannova has been announced as the new offensive line coach for NM State, bringing with him a wealth of experience and success in developing players. Cannova previously coached at Eastern Illinois, where he helped lead the Panthers to an increase in wins and national rankings. He also worked at Texas Tech and Utah State, helping mentor multiple All-Conference players and NFL prospects.
Cannova’s coaching career started at St. Ambrose University, where he coached seven all-conference selections and helped the team achieve a national ranking. As a player at North Central College, Cannova was part of three championship teams and earned academic honors.
In his new role with NM State, Cannova is excited to work alongside head coach Sanchez and offensive coordinator Yost, with whom he has previously worked. Cannova’s track record of success in developing players and improving offensive performance bodes well for the Aggies as they look to strengthen their program.
With an impressive resume and a passion for coaching, Cannova is ready to hit the ground running in Las Cruces and help the Aggies make strides towards success. The team is eager to welcome Cannova to the coaching staff and is confident that his expertise will have a positive impact on the program.
