NM State Women’s Basketball wrapped up their homestand with a dominant 78-41 win over Western New Mexico. The Aggies controlled the paint and forced 33 turnovers, scoring 30 points off them. Three Aggies had double-digit points, with Loes Rozing leading with 5-for-5 shooting. The win improved NM State’s record to 3-1 on the season.
Head Coach Jody Adams praised the team’s effort and depth, highlighting the return of all players from injury. Senior guard Jaila Harding credited her teammates for her season-high point total, while Loes Rozing focused on rebounding and aggressiveness in her performance.
The team is now preparing for a tournament-style weekend in Fort Myers, Florida, where they will face the Texas Longhorns, the number four team in the country. Coach Adams emphasized playing the right way and being confident against a talented opponent.
