New Mexico State defeats Tech in thrilling match – Bossier Press-Tribune

Louisiana Tech suffered a tough loss to New Mexico State, falling 78-48 in their first Conference USA road trip of the season. The Bulldogs shot a season-low 31.5 percent from the field and struggled to keep up with the Aggies, who drained 30 of their 54 field goal attempts. Despite early momentum, LA Tech was unable to overcome a 25-point halftime deficit and fell behind by as much as 35 points in the second half. Coach Talvin Hester emphasized the need for toughness and fighting spirit in order to compete in the league. Despite the loss, there were some positives, including strong bench play from players like Sean Elkinton and Landren Blocker. The Bulldogs now trail in the all-time series against New Mexico State and look to bounce back in their next game against FIU at home. LA Tech will face off against FIU on Thursday, Jan. 9 at the Thomas Assembly Center on Karl Malone Court.
