NM State Women’s soccer team is set to face off against Washington on September 1st at 2 p.m. MT in Seattle. This will be their third matchup against a Big Ten opponent this season, following a home win against Oregon and a tie against #23 USC. Star player Brooke Schultz recently won her first Conference-USA Weekly Award after recording two goals and one assist in a stellar performance.
Loma McNeese also made an impact with a brace in a recent game, bringing her career goals to 21 and ranking her third in program history. The team is currently on a 13-game regular season unbeaten streak and a seven-game home unbeaten streak. This upcoming match against Washington will mark the first time these two teams have faced each other.
As for the Huskies, they are currently 1-1-2 with wins against UC Irvine and losses against #10 Santa Clara. They have only scored four goals this season, with goalkeeper Mia Hamant allowing just two goals. The Aggies will then go on to face their first Big 12 opponent, Arizona, on September 5th.
