San Diego State women’s basketball player, Adryana Quezada, has been named Mountain West Player of the Week after leading the Aztecs to a victory against Boise State. This marks the fifth time this season that an SDSU player has won a weekly award. Quezada, who hails from Frisco, Texas, scored 19 points and grabbed five rebounds in the game. She currently leads the team in points per game and field goal percentage.
The Aztecs are looking to Quezada to continue her strong performance as they face off against New Mexico, who currently leads the conference in field goal percentage and rebounds per game. SDSU will be relying on their award-winning players to bounce back from a recent loss to Colorado State. The game against New Mexico is scheduled for Saturday at 1 p.m. PST.
Quezada’s recognition adds to the success of the team this season, with other players also winning Freshman of the Week awards. The Aztecs aim to continue their winning streak and make a strong statement in the conference as the season progresses.
