NM State Women’s Soccer suffers a 1-0 loss to Arizona in their latest match, bringing their record to 4-2-1. The Wildcats scored the only goal in the 19th minute, despite strong defense from the Aggies. Keeper Valerie Guha made three saves in just four minutes to keep the score close. NM State struggled to generate offense in the first half, recording only three shots compared to Arizona’s eight. Senior Tati Jerman made her season debut in the 63rd minute. In the second half, the Aggies were unable to mount a comeback, ultimately falling to the Wildcats. Mya Hammack, Jena Johannes, Brooke Schultz, Marlee Cavitt, and Guha played the full 90 minutes, with Loma McNeese playing almost the entire match. Some players, including Ariana Ellson and Janae Shaklee, recorded shots on goal, but were unable to find the back of the net.
