Nevada women’s basketball faced a tough loss against New Mexico in a conference game, falling 70-62. Imbie Jones scored a career high of 15 points and Lexie Givens led in rebounds with 11. Despite a strong effort from the team, including a comeback from a 12-point deficit to come within two points at halftime, Nevada couldn’t secure a victory. Audrey Roden contributed 12 points and eight rebounds in the game. The Pack will look to bounce back as they complete their road trip against Air Force on January 4. New Mexico’s strong start and consistent lead during the game ultimately led to Nevada’s first conference loss of the season. The team will regroup and refocus as they continue their season. The game showed a strong effort from the Pack, but they will look to improve in future matchups to secure more wins in the conference play.
