The Ragin’ Cajuns wrapped up their season with a 10-4 overall record, falling to TCU in the Isleta New Mexico Bowl with a final score of 34-3. TCU’s quarterback, Josh Hoover, had an impressive performance, completing 20 of 32 passes for 252 yards and four touchdowns. TCU’s offense gained 367 yards while holding Louisiana to just 209 yards. Louisiana’s quarterback, Ben Wooldridge, struggled, completing only 7 of 20 passes for 61 yards and an interception. Dalen Cambre made his first career start and had a career-high three receptions for Louisiana. Despite the loss, Louisiana missed out on some scoring opportunities, with Kenneth Almendares’ missed 54-yard field goal attempt in the first quarter being a notable example. On defense, Keyon Martin, Jordan Lawson, and Tyrone Lewis led Louisiana with six tackles each.
Additionally, several players made their collegiate debuts, including Steven Blanco, Teddy Gawlik, Zxavier Brown, Na’Tori Brown, Zay Alexander, and Lester Jones. Tylon Citizen also had a career-best 36-yard run in the fourth quarter. Louisiana’s next game will be in the 2025 season opener on August 30th against Rice at Our Lady of Lourdes Stadium.
