The Abilene Christian Wildcats continued their winning streak with an impressive 77-69 victory over the New Mexico Lobos. Led by Payton Hull’s 29 points, including five three-pointers, the Wildcats improved their record to 10-4. Bella Earle and Emma Troxell also made significant contributions, each scoring 15 points.
The Wildcats dominated the third quarter, outscoring the Lobos 30-20 with a combination of hot shooting and disruptive defense. They capitalized on turnovers, scoring 30 points off of them. ACU’s defense forced 19 turnovers and limited the Lobos to 34.6% shooting from three-point range.
After the Christmas break, the Wildcats will face Nelson University in their final non-conference game on December 30 at 1:00 p.m. (CT) at Moody Coliseum. This victory adds to the Wildcats’ impressive season so far, showcasing their strong offense and stellar defense.
