NM State Women’s Soccer Secures 2-0 Victory Over Kennesaw State
NM State Women’s Soccer team emerged victorious with a 2-0 win over Kennesaw State in a recent game at the NM State Soccer Athletic Complex. Goals from Ariana Ellison and Sydnee Johnson propelled the team to their eighth multi-goal game of the season. Despite being outshot 12-7, the Aggies managed to secure the win.
The Aggies started strong with an early goal from Ellison just four minutes into the game. Goalie Valerie Guha’s two saves in quick succession kept Kennesaw State at bay. The team continued their offensive pressure in the second half, with Johnson scoring the second goal of the game.
The win marks the Aggies’ third shutout of the season, improving their home record to 6-1-1. The team will have a six-day break before their next game against Jacksonville State on October 19th at 7 p.m.
