NM State Aggies Secure Back-to-Back Wins in Dominating Fashion Against Northern New Mexico
In a strong performance, NM State defeated Northern New Mexico 87-50 in a home matchup at the Pan American Center. Leading scorer Christian Cook started the game on fire, sparking a 13-0 run. The Aggies continued to dominate, closing the first half with a 21-4 run. Graduate forward Peter Filipovity led the team with a double-double, while five Aggies scored in double figures. The team recorded 16 steals and outscored the Eagles by 37 points, securing their first win of 35 points or more since 2023.
The victory marked the first time the Aggies had back-to-back wins since the start of the season. After a Christmas break, the team will face the University of the Southwest on December 28 before starting conference play. The Aggies’ strong performance has fans excited as they continue to build momentum in the season.
