Bloomfield, NM – In an exciting match-up between two unbeaten teams, Bloomfield defeated Bernalillo in a thrilling game. The game showcased top-notch defense by Bloomfield, with players Manuel Chavarria, Cole Gosnell, and Trae Woods effectively closing in on Bernalillo’s quarterback, Uriel Castro. Offensively, Bloomfield’s Peyton Duncan displayed his skill with a touchdown run during the fourth quarter. The game also featured key plays from Bloomfield’s Kaden McCown and strong efforts from Bernalillo’s Nathan Encinias and Mario Molinar. Bernalillo’s Uriel Castro will also be playing in the upcoming Red/Green All-Star Game.
Over in Rio Rancho, Volcano Vista faced off against Rio Rancho High School, resulting in a strong 33-0 victory for Volcano Vista. Mason Gurule played a pivotal role for Volcano Vista, scoring a touchdown and showcasing impressive skills. Throughout the game, Volcano Vista’s players demonstrated their dominance, with players like Ismael Mendez II contributing to their success. On the Rio Rancho side, players like Damian Martinez and Micah Takahashi put up a strong fight, but were unable to secure a win against the formidable Volcano Vista team.
