The Milwaukee Bucks won the 2024 NBA Cup by defeating the Oklahoma City Thunder 97-81 in Las Vegas. Giannis Antetokounmpo led the Bucks with a triple double and took home Cup MVP honors. The Bucks dominated the second half, particularly the third quarter, outscoring the Thunder 26-14. Milwaukee outscored Oklahoma City by 36 points from three-point range. Despite a strong start from the Thunder, they struggled with their three-point shooting during the game. This win avenged the Bucks’ defeat in the previous NBA Cup season. Both teams will not have the championship game count towards their league standings. Milwaukee has had an impressive turnaround from a 2-8 start to winning 13 of their last 16 games. Oklahoma City remains in first place in the Western Conference but will need to improve their three-point shooting. Players from the winning team will receive a larger monetary prize compared to the losing team. The Bucks will face the Cleveland Cavaliers next, while the Thunder will play against the Orlando Magic in a back-to-back game.
