The NM State women’s basketball team secured another victory as they defeated the New Mexico Lobos 68-60. Molly Kaiser led the way with 30 points, including a perfect 9-for-9 from the free-throw line. The Aggies also had strong defensive performances from Fanta Gassama and Madi Gewirtz, recording 13 steals throughout the game. The team shot 80% from the free-throw line and held the Lobos to just 21% shooting from the three-point line.
Defensively, Loes Rozing contained the Lobo’s leading scorers, limiting them to a combined 11 points and forcing multiple turnovers. Despite a late push from UNM, the Aggies maintained their lead and secured the win.
