The New York Police Department released two new photos of a person wanted for questioning in the killing of UnitedHealthcare CEO Brian Thompson. The photos show the individual wearing a blue medical mask and a black hoodie, walking near a car and riding in a taxi. Investigators have been able to track some of his movements by taxi. No identification of the person has been made, and a $60,000 reward is being offered for information leading to his arrest. Thompson was shot outside a hotel and appeared to have been specifically targeted. The shell casings found at the scene had words written on them. A backpack believed to belong to the person of interest was found in Central Park, and investigators are using a cellphone found nearby to learn more about him. Video footage shows the man riding a bike in Central Park before possibly leaving the state. He may have traveled to New York City from Atlanta by Greyhound bus. Roommates at a hostel where he stayed in Manhattan said he wore his mask at all times, even while eating. Thompson’s wife mentioned threats her husband had received, but details are unclear. The investigation is ongoing, and authorities are working to identify and apprehend the person responsible for Thompson’s killing.
