The Brass Rail in Rapid City celebrates 90 years of history
The Brass Rail, a beloved bar in downtown Rapid City, South Dakota, is celebrating 90 years of history. Originally opened in 1934 after Prohibition, it is the only one out of eight bars from that era that is still running. Co-owner Stephanie Schumacher, who is a third-generation owner, reflects on the bar’s long-standing history and connection to the community.
To commemorate this milestone, the Brass Rail is hosting a 90th Anniversary Party on Saturday, November 23rd. The event will feature a photo booth, giveaways, and a specialty beer created for the occasion. Bartender Zechariah Blasy and customers alike praise the bar for its welcoming and family-friendly atmosphere. Customers appreciate the friendly and inclusive staff, as well as the bar’s character and longevity.
The bar’s success is attributed to its staff and loyal patrons, who have made it a cornerstone of the community. The Brass Rail’s 90th Anniversary Party promises to be a night filled with fun, energy, and a sense of community.
