Beyoncé is set to perform at the halftime show for the Christmas Day matchup between the Houston Texans and Baltimore Ravens, which will be livestreamed on Netflix. This marks the first time Netflix will stream an NFL Christmas gameday contest. Beyoncé’s performance will feature songs from her latest album, “Cowboy Carter,” with special guests expected to make an appearance. The album includes contributions from artists such as Dolly Parton, Willie Nelson, Miley Cyrus, and Post Malone. The announcement of Beyoncé’s halftime performance was made on social media accounts, with a teaser video showing her in a cowgirl outfit catching a football. Despite concerns about Netflix’s ability to handle live sporting events following video quality issues during a recent boxing match event, the streaming service hopes the holiday matchups become a tradition. Netflix has contracted with the NFL to livestream select games through 2026 and will also stream the Kansas City Chiefs’ game against the Pittsburgh Steelers on Christmas Day in addition to the Texans-Ravens game. Beyoncé has previously performed at halftime shows for the Super Bowl in 2013 and 2016, with the latter being one of the most-watched in Super Bowl history.
