NM State Volleyball Set to Conclude Regular Season at Middle Tennessee
Murfreesboro, Tenn. – NM State Volleyball is gearing up for their final regular-season games at Middle Tennessee this weekend. The Aggies, with a 10-6 record in CUSA, are aiming to secure the No. 3 seed in the upcoming Conference USA Championship. Facing off against Middle Tennessee, who holds a 8-8 record in league play, NM State is looking to maintain their late-season momentum.
Key players to watch for NM State include Kacia Brown, Makayla Martinez, and Nellie Reese, who have all been standouts in recent matches. Brown was named CUSA Defensive Player of the Week last month, while Martinez has been leading the team in service aces. Reese, on the other hand, has been instrumental in assists and service aces for the Aggies.
Last year’s matchup against Middle Tennessee saw NM State come out on top with a sweep and a five-set victory. The Aggies will be looking to replicate their success in this weekend’s games.
On the coaching front, head coach Mike Jordan has built a strong team, with former players Tatyana Battle and Lia Mosher joining as assistant coaches. Darian Markham and Mari Sharp, both in their fifth season with NM State, have been key contributors to the team’s success.
