Hoover City Schools has named Kelli Lane as their new chief technology officer. With over 20 years of experience in educational technology, Lane has been instrumental in implementing innovative technology initiatives in classrooms. Since joining the district in 2014, Lane has led data and technology coach teams, promoted data-driven decision-making, and integrated technology seamlessly into classrooms. Superintendent Dr. Kevin Maddox praised Lane for her vision and leadership in advancing technology in education.
Lane has received numerous awards and recognitions for her contributions to educational technology, including the Emerging Leader Award from Alabama Leaders in Educational Technology and the Making IT Happen Award from ALET. In her new role, Lane will be responsible for planning, implementing, and evaluating technology initiatives district-wide, as well as managing technology budgets and infrastructure. She is excited to continue collaborating with the team to enhance classrooms with innovative solutions.
Lane holds degrees in education, educational technology leadership, and certifications as a Google Administrator and Educator. Her expertise and dedication to technology-driven learning will benefit students, educators, and the Hoover community for years to come. Lane’s appointment as chief technology officer reaffirms Hoover City Schools’ commitment to providing top-tier learning resources to students and educators.
