Man accused of killing New York City woman at upscale Hamptons spa and resort dies

A man wanted in connection to the murder of a woman in a chic Hamptons resort was found dead in Pennsylvania. Thomas Gannon, 56, was suspected of killing 33-year-old Sabina Rosas at Shou Sugi Ban House in Water Mill. Gannon was found dead of a self-inflicted gunshot wound at his home in Honesdale, Pennsylvania. The victim and suspect knew each other, with the nature of their relationship believed to be domestic. Rosas was found by an employee in a guest room at the resort and the murder appears to be an isolated incident with no immediate danger to the public. Rosas, also known as Sabina Khorramdel, left behind a family that is now seeking justice for her death. The victim was described as the eldest of three daughters, survived by her mother, father, fiancee, and separated husband. The family expressed profound sadness and a sense of injustice at the suspect’s death preventing closure through the legal process. Shou Sugi Ban House, where the murder took place, is described as a luxurious, sustainable resort inspired by Japanese principles. The resort offers spa, healing arts, nutrition, and wellness experiences in a holistic, educational setting. The investigation into the murder is ongoing, and updates will be provided as available.
