Kamala Harris made headlines last week when she faced a combative Fox News interviewer. The vice president charged into unfriendly territory on the news network, while President Donald Trump danced at a town hall. “Saturday Night Live” took inspiration from these events in their latest episode.
In the sketch comedy show, Maya Rudolph portrayed Harris reaching out to younger voters on TikTok, while Alec Baldwin played Fox News anchor Bret Baier. Trump, played by James Austin Johnson, tried to paint America as both the greatest country and a terrible place.
Harris criticized Trump for leaving supporters stranded after a rally in Coachella, California. She also mocked his appearance at a town hall in Oaks, Pennsylvania, where he danced and issued song requests to his campaign staffers.
The episode featured Dana Carvey as Biden, with Harris proclaiming she would be a “jabillion times jabetter” president. The show also included Michael Keaton as host and Billy Eilish as the musical guest.
“SNL” continues to find humor in the current political landscape, with its latest episode poking fun at both Trump and Harris. The show airs on NBC, which is also the parent company of NBC News.
