Liam Gallagher was unimpressed by a recent “Saturday Night Live” sketch that parodied his feud with his brother Noel Gallagher. The sketch, featuring exaggerated British accents, had the brothers playfully teasing each other and agreeing on certain topics. Liam called the sketch “excruciating” and questioned whether the cast members were meant to be comedians.
The Gallagher brothers, known for their public disagreements, announced a 2025 tour marking the 30th anniversary of Oasis’ second album, “(What’s the Story) Morning Glory?”. Despite their history of conflict, the tour has already sold out all North American and United Kingdom dates.
The sketch on “SNL” touched on the brothers’ past disagreements but also showcased their shared sense of humor. Despite Liam’s criticisms, the sketch humorously portrayed the brothers as they playfully argued while agreeing on certain topics. The skit’s use of exaggerated accents and references to popular cartoons added to the comedic effect.
In response to Liam’s comments, one of the cast members referred to him as a “LEGEND”, adding a playful tone to the ongoing banter between the brothers. The Oasis reunion tour in 2025 comes after years of speculation about whether the band would ever reunite due to their tumultuous history.
