Southern Lebanon under siege as intense overnight airstrikes continue; Israel reveals Hamas documents


Israeli military forces bombarded southern Lebanon overnight, hitting a major commercial market in Nabatiyeh city and completely destroying a mosque in Kfar Tebnit. The IDF claimed to have attacked dozens of Hezbollah targets, including launchers and ammunition depots, as well as other terrorist targets. The Palestine Red Crescent Society evacuated patients from a hospital in northern Gaza in a 12-hour mission, amidst a siege by Israeli forces. The IDF declared a closed military zone in northern Israel near the border with Lebanon, without specifying reasons for the action.

The World Health Organization reported that almost half of health care centers in Lebanon are closed due to the escalation of violence, with nearly 100 deaths and five hospitals shutting down due to airstrikes causing structural damage. The WHO called for urgent protection of patients and health workers in the region and a cessation of hostilities to allow the health system to cope with the crisis.
