Disgraced movie mogul Harvey Weinstein underwent heart surgery and was moved from a New York City jail to Bellevue Hospital for recovery. His representative, Craig Rothfeld, said Weinstein complained of health issues and pain following the procedure but is not in critical condition. Weinstein, whose rape conviction was overturned in April, had previously been hospitalized for Covid-19, double pneumonia, diabetes, high blood pressure, spinal stenosis, and other conditions. Weinstein was originally sentenced to 23 years in prison in New York and 16 years in Los Angeles for sex offenses, but the LA conviction was also overturned. A grand jury in New York is considering new charges against Weinstein, who denies all allegations of non-consensual sexual encounters. Over 80 women have accused Weinstein of sexual assault or harassment throughout his career.
