A Bedouin man named Qaid Farhan Alkadi, who was held hostage in Gaza for over 10 months, was rescued by Israeli forces in a complex operation. The details of the rescue were not disclosed for security reasons, but it was noted that Alkadi was in stable medical condition and was being transferred to a hospital for medical checks. His family has been updated on his status. It is believed that more than 100 hostages remain in Hamas’ captivity following the October attacks in which over 1,200 people were killed and around 250 were taken hostage. In November, some hostages were released by Hamas during a temporary cease-fire, and in June, four hostages were freed by Israeli forces in a daring rescue operation. Unfortunately, in December, three Israeli hostages were mistakenly shot and killed by IDF troops during combat with Hamas. The situation is still developing, and updates are expected.
