Israeli settlers killed a Palestinian man and injured six others in an attack on the West Bank village of Wadi Rahal, while an Israeli air strike on the Nur Shams refugee camp resulted in the deaths of five Palestinians, including two teenagers. The strike targeted leaders of armed resistance groups in the camp, with Israeli forces seeking to assassinate Abu Shuja’a, a key figure in the Tulkarem and Nur Shams battalion. The casualties included teenagers Adnan Jaber and Mohammed Ahmad Elayyan, as well as Mohannad Qarawi, Jibril Ghassan Jibril, and Mohammed Ali Yusif. Following the attack, Palestinian parties declared a general strike in protest, with Hamas calling for intensified resistance against Israeli occupation. There have been about 50 Israeli air attacks in the West Bank since the Gaza war began. In a separate incident, Israeli settlers shot dead Khalil Salem Khalawi and wounded six others in Wadi Rahal, contributing to a surge in violence in the region. Since the start of the year, Israeli settlers have carried out over 1,300 attacks in the West Bank, resulting in the deaths of at least seven Palestinians. Palestinians attribute the increase in attacks to a sense of impunity felt by Israeli settlers, allowing them to continue targeting Palestinians and their homes.
