A woman in New Jersey has been charged with defiant trespassing and violating city ordinances after climbing over a barrier at a zoo and approaching a tiger enclosure. The woman, identified as Zyair J. Dennis, was seen on video climbing over fences and attempting to reach into the tiger cage before quickly pulling her hand away when the animal reacted aggressively. A similar incident involving a bear enclosure was also captured on video. Dennis is scheduled to appear in municipal court next month, but it is unclear if she has retained an attorney. This incident is reminiscent of a previous incident at the Bronx Zoo in 2019 when a woman climbed into a lion enclosure.
