Catherine, the Princess of Wales, made a rare public appearance at Balmoral Castle in Scotland on Aug. 25 after being diagnosed with cancer earlier in the year. She was seen at Crathie Kirk, a small church in Scotland, alongside her husband, Prince William, King Charles III, and Queen Camilla. This was the first time she was seen with Charles since Trooping the Colour in June. Kate’s cancer diagnosis came after undergoing major surgery in January and she has been undergoing chemotherapy since March. She clarified that she was not yet returning to royal duties and still had a few months left of chemotherapy. Despite this, she attended the Wimbledon men’s singles final in July and appeared in a video congratulating Team Great Britain in the 2024 Olympics. It is unclear when she will officially return to royal duties, but her children are preparing to head back to school next month.Kate’s public appearances have been well-received by fans, including receiving a standing ovation at Wimbledon and appearing in the video congratulating Team GB. William also made a surprise appearance in the video with a new rugged look. The royal family traditionally spends summers at Balmoral Castle, with Crathie Kirk being their usual place of worship while in Scotland.
